To the average woman over 40, detoxes can seem hard …

  • Headaches!

  • No Coffee or Alcohol

But what most women don’t know is that a short detox can have a dramatic effect on how you feel AND how you look – namely YOUNGER.

It’s kind of like cleaning out your linen press.

You open the cupboard and it is a mess, full of stuff thrown in there any which way.

I bet you feel the same as me…

Frustrated, a sense of dread and a dash of guilt …

Clean out that linen press and …

BAM you have a sense of achievement.

You FEEL happy, proud and content

Those sheets and towels all nicely folded and stacked.

Am I right?

  • Detoxes are exactly the same

  • If done correctly, a detox will give you:

We’ve all heard of…

‘You are what you eat’ or

‘You are as young as you feel’

They are old sayings but it still holds true today,

and that is exactly what detoxes are designed to do.

A good detox will help you increase your energy, lose a couple of unwanted kilos, improve your skin tone and move you to take action on your future health and fitness.

A good detox does not (in my opinion of working with 1000’s of clients over the years) spike your blood sugars, eat into your muscle tone or rely just on fruit and water to be successful.

A detox removes toxins from your body. This will help your liver do its job of metabolizing fat and carbohydrates and even better take part in activating your fat burning hormones.

Now you may be asking …

Doesn’t Detoxing Happen Naturally?

Yes, in fact your liver is designed to remove toxins in your body.

The rate of which your body can remove those toxins varies and in many people there can be a build up.

Does Age Slow the Removal of Toxins?

Yes.

I look at our body like a car.

Young….

We are like a brand new car –

Every thing works well, looks good, sounds good and easy to maintain.

Middle Age onwards…

Oops … we are now a vintage car…

Things don’t quite work as well or look as new

(and sometimes sound as good if you know what I mean)

UNLESS we put a little more effort and time into maintenance and then we can look and be absolutely amazing for our age just like a great well loved vintage car.

What Makes a Good Anti-ageing Detox?

In my opinion a good anti-ageing detox is one that makes you feel good, rid the toxins and MAINTAIN your lean muscle tone.

Good muscle tone speeds up your metabolism.

A fast metabolism burns calories (even at rest)

The more calories you burn, the easier to maintain a healthy weight
